Today Smithson Martin announced the official launch of their emulator djing system.  The emulator is a purely touch screen interface for DJing on already familiar software platforms (currently Traktor only but serato and ableton compatibility coming soon).  I have to admit seeing someone use this would look ultra futuristic and I think more and more we are going to see touch screen interfaces for our software programs, but I hope it’s as accurate as it looks. For the record I am still partial to my technics 1200s! Here’s a youtube video of it in action:
